In the summer of 2015, we were surprised that – while many do-it-yourselfers were building their own designs - no one had started mass producing hard-sided campers to pull behind bicycles. We found a brilliant inventor, Paul Elkins, online and bought his plans. We quickly realized the beauty of his design as well as the limitations. We also discovered that many people who had seen and admired his design online had never tried to build one themselves. A few others had bought his plans and started building, but soon found out it was a bigger project than they anticipated.

Being located in the “RV Capital of the World” we had resources available to us that others did not, and after our first two prototypes were constructed we knew that Paul’s basic design - combined with our industry knowledge and resources - put us in a unique position to fill a huge void. So, we contacted Paul and entered into an exclusive financial agreement to compensate him for his basic design while adding over 30 major improvements. Nearly six years of our own testing and R&D have led to what we are now proud to call a BikeStream RV.

 
Perhaps our biggest ambition is to have an immediate and positive impact on the entire RV Industry by challenging it to become more eco-friendly. It’s astonishing to us that an industry so reliant on the great outdoors has such a lackluster record in caring for the great outdoors. We must do better.
